The Red Phoenix tropheus moorii, or Red Bishop Moorii, begins to show color at one inch and is a solid bright red moorii with the same distinct face and body profile of the tropheus family. Like other tropheus the red phoenix moorii prefers to school in groups of six or more but will adapt to just a couple friends in the fish tank. Red phoenix is a highly bred and rare color variation of the native Tankanyikan tropheus cichlids. This fish is territorial but peaceful enough to keep with a community cichlid tank. Slow to grow but hardy, keep the water clean and make sure it has flake or pellet food that contains veggies.
